PenDot Inspection and Emissions

In Pennsylvania, it is the law that you have your vehicle inspected by a mechanic licensed by PenDot on a yearly basis.  Our master mechanic has been licensed with PenDot for over 20 years, and All About Autos has been a licensed station with PenDot for 12 years.

Various counties in PA also require an emissions test, which must be performed prior to the safety inspection.  A vehicle with a check engine light will not pass emissions, unless it has less than 5000 miles on it within a 365-day period and had the same owner.   Please refer to the bulletins below from Drive Clean Pennsylvania for further information.  Click on the bulletins to be directed to the PenDot website.
