MECHANIC'S ADVICE

Routine Maintenance is vital for the health and life of your vehicle. Regular oil changes, transmission service, coolant flush and service to the differential are all important to keep your vehicle and its parts working properly. Vehicles 2018 or newer require synthetic oil, which lasts 5000 miles. Older vehicles can still use the conventional oil, which lasts 3000 miles. Please check your vehicle's handbook for its routine maintenance recommendations.
Dashboard lights are not to be ignored. These lights only come on if there is a problem with your vehicle. If you have a flashing check engine light, please stop the vehicle and get your vehicle towed in. This usually means that you need a tune up done immediately. We will recommend a compression test on the motor before performing a tune up, just to make sure the engine is still ok. If you have the brake light/ABS/Traction control lights on, this usually means there is a problem with a wheel bearing or speed sensor. In order for the anti-lock brake system to work properly, you will need to replace the broken sensor or bearing.
